BEHALA SRIJAN, operates at 51A, Rashbehari Avenue, Kolkata 700026, West Bengal India. It is a registered non profit organization, rendering social welfare activities for the underprivileged population of the society. It started its journey from 14th May, 2012 and the registration number is S/1L/ 91460 of 2012-13 ( under West Bengal Society ACT XXVI of 1961).
It is indeed a small social organization, but we do dream big to cater a bigger portion of the society, who are getting devoid of the basic necessities of life like food, health and education.

Our Programme
Behala Srijan give all sorts of supports to underprivileged children of remote areas to boost up their interests in going to school and continue their education.
We also organize programmes to propagate Indian Traditional Musical programmes and promote young talented artists by providing them a proper platform of performance.
We felicitate and pereserve the musical and art works created by eminent artists of the yesteryears, as archive.

Juvenile Health Programme
Behala Srijan is going to organise Health Camps for the School students who are in the below poverty line category.
Behala Srijan in association with Corporate Houses will arrange health check up and cultural awareness camps for the underprivileged children.
A noble project has been undertaken by Behala Srijan to guide the underprivileged chidren of the slum and red-light areas to make them conscious about the healthy culture of our society by inculcating them the value-based education in the form of stories and games. They will learn to enjoy their life at this tender age by involving themselves in cultural activities. This is to keep these neglected street children away from unhealthy environment and engaged them in right jobs so that they can grow up in an enlightened society of healthy ambience. These healthy activities will help them to lead a better life.
Besides inculcating value based education, their health will also be checked regularly by eminent medical practitioners.
To organise anti cancer health camps to aware the students and their parents about the dangers of oral cancer mainly caused by smoking and chewing tobacos and breast cancer for adolescent girl children.
To organise awareness camps to aware adolescent school girls about menstrual hygiene management; to aware and motivate to change practices of school girls’ regarding managing and sustaining menstrual hygiene, Personal hygiene, sanitation practices and heathy lifestyle; to increase awareness on menstrual taboos and myths among adolescent school girls and their parents and to create peer educators on menstrual hygiene management.
